Autumn

And Then Came Autumn

Its rich, deep colors and texture warms our hearts
As the lush green grass fades into a crackling blanket beneath our feet
Autumn leaves whisper the sound of our past
Our song gently swept up by the wind
Echo’s from the summer dissipate into the early sunset

And then came Autumn
Summer’s bright blue sky’s fade to grey
Tears from the heavens begin to fall
The deep blue night skies are filled with the  gentle voice of the clouds
The moon becomes the sun of the night

And then came Autumn
The time when summer’s fantasy retreats
The time for reflection begins
The time for giving thanks takes over
The time when our hearts seek the comfort of home

And then came Autumn
And then came you
