The Voice of Humanity
It is the time of year when we take pause and give thanks. In America, we call it Thanksgiving. This year I was tormented by an internet Troll who’s post had a significant impact on my livelihood and the health and wellbeing of my family whom I support with all my heart. We are losing our father, the man who cared for us all our lives. He has dementia and is slowly passing away. The impact the blog had was devastating and compromised the health and safety of my father’s last few memories of this life.
I was fortunate enough to be on Chat with an empathetic support engineer and told him the story. WordPress heard my voice and took down the blog. Our family will forever be grateful to this magnificent company.
Thank You WordPress, we love you! This post is for you.
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down
by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”
